Description

Just back from Namibia for an astronomical trip, I show the most amazing thing I've ever observed in the night sky. In the second part of the night, at the Zenith, above our heads, we observed an immense structure, a detailed alternation of lights and darks: the center of our Galaxy. The experience I had was mainly visual, with two Obsession-style 25 "and 20" Dobsonians, in the company of expert visualist amateur astronomers, but I tried to take some shots thanks to the help of the travel companion Arturo Galvan, using his camera and his daytime lenses and a star adventurer loaned just before leaving from our dear friend Andrea Vanoni. I will also show other photos that have no claim to be beautiful, because I have spent very little time and because I have no experience in wide-field astrophotography, but I wanted to take some shots in order to preserve the memory of that incredible dark sky.
